Pink & Blue Tourmaline Bead Necklace
The Gold Album x Middle Child Studio
ONE-OF-A-KIND
Smooth rondelle beads in a rich mix of pink, deep teals, and green tourmaline create a beautifully varied, gem-toned strand. Finished with a 14K gold lobster clasp, it’s designed to layer or hold its own with a charm. We love it with the rhodolite Gone Fishing pendant.
Some collaborations start with an idea. This one started with an eye. Hilary Muxlow, founder and designer of The Gold Album, had long admired Susannah Gwinn’s work — hand-forged pieces made by Middle Child Studio in Carpinteria, California. The two found common ground in a way of living: coastal, unhurried, always a little salt-kissed.
Together, they’ve created a collection made for that life. Each piece is handmade by the sea, with beads chosen for the colors and creatures found there. 14K gold clasps and fittings meet Susannah’s raw, hand-forged work — jewelry sturdy enough for a swim, a surf, a saltwater rinse, and elegant enough for dinner after. Jump in. Dry off. Put on your little black dress. It stays with you.
